Zong to establish 4G research lab in LUMS

Zong has recently entered in a ‘first of its kind’ agreement with LUMS. As part of the agreement, Zong will be utilizing the university for researching on 4G networks. The MoU for the development of a state-of-the-art 4G research lab at the university has been signed.

This MoU would pave the way for Pakistan’s leading telecom company and the most advanced 4G service provider to give hundreds of students of Pakistan’s top-ranked business management university Lahore University of Management Sciences, the opportunities to polish their academic endeavours on latest technological lines. ZTE would provide technical assistance in this regard.

The establishment of an ever-advanced featured 4G research lab implies that the students of LUMS would be able to acquire the related online material instantaneously with Zong’s unbeatable speed. To a great deal, this would help them make their respective assignments, research papers, thesis and related material more accurate, credible, authentic and research-oriented.  Three In-Building Solutions (IBSs) would be installed and a Mini-Customer Services Centre (CSC) would be set up at LUMS as part of the research lab. LUMS will also use Zong’s Enterprise Solutions. Moreover, the telecom company will assist the varsity students in their research projects and will offer them internships.

The agreement will definitely cater the needs of both parties. The positive outcomes from the 4G research lab will help Zong boost its networks while giving a great deal of experience to LUMS students.
